Summer Reading Contest for All Ages: June 1 to July 31
The end of the school year means it's time for the Summer Reading Contest and programs to begin! Come celebrate our kickoff on Saturday, May 30 from 1 to 3 pm. We will have lots of free food, activities and stuff to take home. Learn about the Contest and stock up for all that summer reading.
The Reading Contest is for everyone from ages 100 to infants. You can register any time by going to our Beanstack page ( https://vistagrandepl.beanstack.org/ ) . Starting June 1, you can begin logging your reading that you do this summer: track minutes for 12 and under, track books for teens and adults. Keep logging in through July 31. We do have paper logs available if you prefer that method instead! Just plan to bring in completed paper logs to the librarians. There are prizes for all readers, and special prizes for the top readers in each age group!
When you visit the library during June and July, you will find special activities that you can try out while you are here. There will be Take-Home Fun Kits available for pickup; these will get changed up every couple of weeks.
