Donations

Annually your book and CD/DVD donations bring us about 1,800 new items for the collection valued at $36,000, and about $2,000 from in-library book sales. And our semi-annual Book Sales contribute significantly to our operating budget. Thank you!

Book, CD/DVD and Collection donations are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.  If you have two bags or boxes of books or less, you can bring those during any open hours.

Note: Please HOLD ALL BOOK DONATIONS UNTIL NOVEMBER 11 (after the Fall Book Sale).

For more than that, please contact the Library Director to make an appointment. Items (e.g., books, CDs, DVDs, audio books) must be boxed or bagged in non returnable containers. Any loose or damaged items will be discarded. Please ensure you have adequate assistance when dropping off items as library staff may not be able to unload items while you wait. This process will be in place until further notice.

PLEASE no more than five boxes/bags per donor per week. Also, consider the weight of the boxes and if the staff can lift them.

We love that you want to donate to us, but ask that you help us by following the guidelines at right. These criteria help us process your wonderful donations in the most efficient and safest way possible.

Here's what our staff and volunteers do with your donations:
