“Right Place, Right Time,” a photography presentation by John H. Stewart.
On Friday, Aug. 21, from 6:30 to 8 pm at the library, Stewart will give a presentation on his global travels and photography techniques, demonstrating how he captures the spirit of the places he visits. VGPL Turns 25 This Year!

Summer at the Library
The library was a cool place to hang out during the hot summer months this year. In June we hosted Rock Time, where community members could come ask questions and learn from geologists and archaeologists. We also had Tuesday Movie Matinees with family movies about Dinosaurs - who knew we had so many to show? In July, we held our annual Dog Day of Summer, with various dogs with jobs to meet. After School Programs
Welcome back, students and families! This Fall we are excited to be able to offer more options for our school-age community. Library Club (aka, Cat-in-the-Hat club) will be offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 3:05 to 4:30 pm. The dates are September 14 to November 18 and the club is for ages K to 3. August Art Exhibits
VGPL has two art gallery spaces, the display case near the front door (for smaller items from watercolors to fiber arts to ceramics) and on the walls in the Fiction area. On the walls, see the stunning photography of John H. Stewart, a global traveler with an eye for the unexpected. We are once again taking donations of like-new or very gently used books, CDs and DVDs. Donations will be used to supplement our collection or sell for fund raising.
