Wags and Words - Read to a Dog! (K-5)
Got a young reader who is a beginner, or who struggles with reading aloud? Sign up your child for a 15 minute appointment with a Reading Education Assistance Dog from the Pet Outreach Services of the Santa Fe Animal Shelter.
Currently the Reading Dog will be in the library on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 to 4 pm.
To learn more or to sign up for an open slot, call 505-466-7323 or email Tracey at libasst@vglibrary.org.
All Ages Chess Club
Club meets Friday afternoons from 3-5 pm. All ages and skill levels are welcomed to learn and play. Children under 12 need parental permission; all other ages can drop in any week.
Family Movie Night
Join us for popcorn and juice as you watch a recently released family movie or the occasional classic. Put your children in pajamas and bring a cushion and blankets if you like. Generally, Movie Night is the third Friday of the month; check the calendar for dates. You can also call 505-466-7323 to confirm the date, and get the film title and rating. As of 12-30-31 Movie Night is on hold. Please check back for more updates.
