November 3D Exhibit: Selene Sinclair - "Goddesses and Queens"

VGPL will host Eldorado at Santa Fe artist Selene Sinclair November 1-30 in the library gallery. “Goddesses & Queens” features 15 imaginative acrylic and Mixed Media paintings on canvas.

 

Selene’s work is about the power and strength of women. "As our beautiful Earth undergoes enormous change, I often address dwindling resources such as insects, ice, rivers and oceans by creating a Goddess or Queen to protect and recognize these issues."

November 2D Exhibit: Bob Cardinale – “Churches of New Mexico"

 

VGPL will host Eldorado at Santa Fe artist Bob Cardinale November 1-30 in the lobby glass case. Bob is exhibiting original carved church sculptures - "Churches of New Mexico.”

 

Cardinale is a Santa Fe based artist. The church sculptures are inspired by churches in New Mexico, the Southwest, Mexico and Europe. The collaborations with his wife PJ are original art works, built from hundreds of cut and carved pieces of white pine. Bob’s love of church architecture began in his years as a Benedictine monk and carried on through his over 50 years as an artist, professor and president of the San Antonio Art Institute. He and his wife PJ are both professional artists and have their home and studios in Eldorado.

About Art at VGPL

The VGPL exhibition series is for the enjoyment of patrons when visiting the library located south of the El Dorado Community School, on 14 Avenida Torreon, Santa Fe, NM 87508. Library hours are 10-6 Tu - F and 10-4 on Sat. Exhibition art will be on sale during the month, and available to the purchaser after the close of the show. The library will receive a sales commission benefiting operations and library programming.
