Book Donation Day
Book Donation Day is currently on hold.
We love that you want to donate to us, but ask that you help us by following the guidelines at right. These criteria help our volunteers process your wonderful donations in the most efficient and safest way possible.
Here's what our 10-12 volunteers do on book donation day:
-
Help you bring in your donations
-
Give gift receipts as requested
-
Set aside new books to be considered for our collection
-
Refer potentially high value items to our online sales team
-
Organize, box and store all the high quality materials for our next book sale
-
Recycle/throw away items that are too old, damaged or otherwise not salable
-
Box the remainders for shipping to an online book seller
Annually your book donations bring us about 1,800 new items for the collection valued at $36,000; almost $2,000 in online sales; and
about $2,000 from in-library book sales. Thank you!
